Our President is an ISA Certified Arborist. That means a passed exam on tree biology, risk, care standards and safe work practices, plus continuing education to keep the credential.
On your land, it means we know which trees are assets and which are liabilities, and we clear and grade without killing the roots of the trees you keep. Most clearing crews can't say that.

The Best Time of Year to Clear Land in Maryland

Read article →Why should I hire an ISA Certified Arborist for tree removal in Bel Air?
An ISA Certified Arborist has passed the International Society of Arboriculture's exam on tree biology, risk, care standards and safe work practices, and keeps up with continuing education. That training helps you avoid removing healthy trees, catch hazardous trees before they fail, and protect the trees you keep during clearing and grading. Goliath Land Management is led by an ISA Certified Arborist.
How much does land clearing cost in Harford County?
It depends on acreage, density, tree size, terrain, access, and whether stumps and debris are mulched in place or removed. Light brush on open ground costs far less than mature woods on a slope. We give free on-site estimates with itemized pricing.
What is forestry mulching?
A forestry mulcher grinds brush, vines and small trees into mulch where they stand. No burn piles, no hauling, and the mulch layer limits erosion. It's ideal for selective clearing, pasture reclamation, trails, fence lines and invasives.
Do I need a permit to clear land in Harford County?
Sometimes. Harford County requires development that disturbs more than 5,000 square feet to address sediment control, and larger projects may need an approved erosion and sediment control plan. Properties near tidal water may fall within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area. We'll tell you what applies during the estimate.
Can you remove a tree near my house or a power line?
Trees near homes, garages, barns and fences: yes, in controlled sections. Trees touching power lines: call your electric utility (BGE in most of our area) first and stay clear. Once the line is safe, we can remove the rest.
